This group is nothing short of amazing and they prove it yet again with this incredible album of deep-electronic soudscapes. If flowing rythmic music is your preference do not pass this masterpiece up! The album for me personally gives a feeling of absolute victory. . Definite 5 star rating that is much deserved. I am thankful for this album.
  • Revelations the Listener's Cut

I liked this album a lot. I found it to be a bit too slow though. Thankfully, there is another release on here with club mixes for 5 of the songs from this album. I purchased both of them and replaced the club versions with the album versions to create what I believe is a better album. I replaced all but Cause and Effect, because that one song truly stood out as a better album version, than the club version. Not all will agree with me, I know, but give it a try! I like that my cut of the album has a stronger, faster intro and exit to it. The club versions aren't over the top, super sped up renditions. They still fit in with the rest of the album. I think the album has more balance to it with a few tracks increasing the tempo.

MIAB' latest offering is nothing short of mesmerizing. While their past releases have focused on higher energy / dance tempo trax, "Revelations" is a lush abyss loaded with deep moody structures. The album opener "Remember" is stunningly beautiful and deeply moving. Brooding synthesized bliss consumes the listener alongside hypnotic vocals. "Cause & Effect" follows with eerie soundscapes laden with superb programming and vocal delivery. Some of the sonic ideas at work here are breathtaking. The build-up to the mid-point/climax is an imaginative journey that begs for introspection. "Revelations" is much more than a new release; it is something very unique, masterful and hypnotic all at once. This album is best experienced with repeated listens to it's entirety before the full impact can be realized. Mind.in.a.box have crafted something very special here, leaving others in the their wake. Engulf yourself in this aural orgasm for 2012.

Long-time fans will be pleased to know that Revelations maintains the quality and originality of everything m.i.a.b has done so far...highly recommended for fans of electronic music, and for those who look for an atmosphere and a story to go along with the beats.

I came across this band while looking at others in the genre. I listened to most of the tracks and decided to buy. Best buy of last year for me. Have since acquired all their albums. Awesome. Right up there with VNV, Neuroticfish and others. If you like this genre you have to have Mind.in.a.box

"Revelations" is another brilliant effort by the band I consider to be the finest in this music genre... Mr. Stefan Poiss's music is absolutely superior to the work of any other simililar electronic act of this music genre, which includes the likes of VNV, Covenant and Apotigma Berzerk....Yes!! If you loved "Lost Alone" and "Crossroads" get ready for another ultra-dimensional fantastic journey.... : )
