This album is a departure from the traditional Mark Lowry offering. Instead of being backed by a full orchestra this was recorded live at Oaksteam with just a piano, a few friends, and his Mother. It has more of a feel of friends getting together around the piano and having a wonderful afternoon with music that celebrates Christian beliefs. Although I enjoy the albums done with the backing and remixing the traditional productions offer I think this is a beautiful and refreshing change of pace. It feels much more intimate. The harmonies and the piano work are superb and the song "Promises" he does with his Mother are just amazing in their beauty. This was money well speant!

This has some excellent songs. I like that he did it with others, The arrangements are refreshing and harmonies tight.
His voice is as always so rich that it takes you into the Heavenlies!

I love Mark Lowry's comedy and his voice. But all of these songs are done beautifully by other singers and groups. Add to that that he has others singing with him, and the whole project is lack-luster. I hope Mark will go back to what he does best soon because this is a big disapointment.
