This does not flow as a set. My first experience with Cosmic Gate. I'm currently listening to "No More Sleep," which is proving to be far better. Almost no song on "Signs of the Times" is outright bad. But the album drags at times, and it doesn't flow well. A few tracks are even excellent. Album is overrated.

Trance "Shmance - In my opinion, this is good music. "Flatline" and "Exploration of Space" are standouts. The lyrics are okay but the vocals are fantastic. The compilations are diverse and not the same beat through out, like much of dance and trance music...which is a relief.

I'm a big ATB fan & I'm always looking for good trance that at least meets my high expectations. This cd is pretty sick, most of the songs are on point. "Flatline" is by far my favorite. The drop in that song is unexpected & brilliant. Buy this cd-it's worth the $$$!

Yea, there was one or two songs with that terrible clap sound; however, it was still a great album especially f.a.v. Although my favorite song was still some remix of " exploration of space"

Just like everything, music evolves all the time. And i think perhaps trance is becoming more mellowed out. Perhaps it's becoming Balearic Trance as Roger Shah came up with that term to describe his style of trance. This album sounds "balearic" and it's beautiful.

I can't believe the good ratings on this album. The music is monotonous and flat. The vocals make the biggest impression, if at all, and the musical arrangements are simplistic and shallow at best. The lyrics aren't that great either. Overall, it's a very forgettable album. Trip to P.D. (the only interesting track that would get an extra half star for the album if it was an option) and Open Your Heart/Not Enough Time/Only Time (nothing trancy but ok dance songs) may be worth checking but I wouldn't spend money on them. Now, if you're still reading, go and check their remixes instead because that's where the good stuff is! [Inside of You, Find Yourself, Lovesong, etc.]

  • What is this garbage?

First & foremost let me say that Cosmic Gate is not "TRANCE", this German duo is too mainstream. Vocals loose the emotion of the track. Simply horrendous. This is for the people who have no sense of what is "Trance". SAY NO TO VOCAL TRANCE.
