After the career-defining Screamadelica, there was only one way for Primal Scream to go - and that was another way. So why not Stones/Faces? You could do worse. This was actually my first Primals record, and I still love it. From the opening Skynyrd loop to "Rocks", underrated "Big Jet Plane", the excellent "Call on Me", plus George Clinton! The snobs will, of course, hate. And yea, there's one too many ballads. But Give Out...still delivers.
It's a keeper!

This is the ROCK side of Primal Scream. It's reminisent of early 70's Stones. Catchy hooks on most of the songs. It's been in my music library since the late 90's and it will always be!

Any fan of the Producer George Drakoulias should be interested in this. He worked with Primal Scream after his two albums with the Black Crowes, and between Maria McKee and Jayhawks albums. The Brits do great rock, and Primal Scream on this album are the epitome of that.
