After watching UNCF's tribute to Chaka Khan, I was exposed to Superlife and Will You Love Me. I instantly downloaded this album and I absolutely LOVE IT. This is Chaka in her true Funk Essence. Good Job to Jam and Lewis for bringing out the best of Chaka once again. Any fan of the Queen should own this cd. You will not be disappointed.

This work is awesome. It edges out Naughty and I Feel For You as her best work in my opinion.
This is a can't miss if love you great music. Michael, Chaka, Ella, Aretha, Whitney & Luther.... The greatest vocalist of our time.
I'll mention Phillip Bailey and Teena Marie as Honorable Mentions. Let's enjoy those that remain of these great artist while we can.

now ofcourse since i was raised up nowhere 70s r&b, and more around 80s and 90s r&b..i must say that chaka khan did HER THING! i cant believe how fluid she made each track where it reaches out to fans that have grown with her and fans that are new to her (such as myself). and the guitarist in some of the tracks is SICK!

One slight disappointment for a great CD

I do love Chaka Khan's music and even though I haven't heard this cd yet, I've heard a lot of good things about it and I eventually will hear it one day. However, I'm a little sad that the song "Let Go" is not on iTunes because that's the one I really love. If there possibly was some way for iTunes to release this song, I'd much appreciate it. In the meantime, keep up the excellent work Chaka! You rock ^_^

When Chaka said those words on 1982's self-titled 'Chaka Khan', those words have never meant move then than they do on 'Funk This' Chaka hits all the right notes, giving people something to look forward to on the next song. All I have to say is this: Peace, Love, and FUNK THIS!

There are no words to describe how freakin' amazing this CD is. NO one does it like Chaka! The Prince and Joni Mitchell covers are genious. The duet with Mary J. Blige is ferocious. The new material only underscores that Chaka is one of a kind. None of those other 'divas' can touch this.

Didn't think this was the 'Ol Chaka'. Her voice isn't strong like in used to be and being this her profession she should have taken better care. She seems to yell instead of sing and sometimes I felt the music was only at the loud bassy sound to drown her out. Sorry Chaka, I love you girl, but this didn't do it for me.
