I couldn't help but notice the "clean lyrics" disclaimer, mind you, I only listened to the previews. Are there any vocals in this EP? I nearly flipped when I saw it, I have no idea how I could have overlooked this!? The substance is there, and the textures are in the right place, as always, but I can't help but think that this wasn't strung out to its full potential. I can definitely feel where he's going with this, I gotta say, I'm shaking with anticipation to see what he has in store. It's a growing...

If you dig Scott Walker, like me, you'll probably enjoy this. If you don't, or don't know who he is -like the people who have chimed in here before me- chances are you aren't going to quite "get it." Nothing wrong with that, though. Walker typically creates some pretty disturbing stuff these days, and this is an orchestral take on those themes.

Lets hear it for the most noteworthy attempt at not having people buy your music 2007. Quite how these excepts were picked I don't know. I would love to see 4AD;s business plan. It must include "lets release the most obtuse music we can lay our hands on". Scott Walker. Hopefully this Ep has moments not akin to what is on offer here. I cannot believe anybody would possibly purchase this at all. Is it a joke? Or, did someone choose the wrong moments form the CD?
