  • In My Top 20 Albums of All Time --Yes, You Read That Right

I'm no kid. I lived through the 60s and 70s and there were some terrific and legendary albums that were released by major stars in those days. Most of that music is still played 50 years later, and is still great. But Adam Watts really has something special. He has all the qualities of songwriting excellence, and along with his perfect voice, and great mixing/arranging abilites, he is extraordinary, in my opinion. Add to that the fact that he is Christian and subtly infuses his songs with God, I feel very fortunate to be able to witness and enjoy all of his musical work.

Jeremy Camp wishes he could rock this well! Highlight songs on an album full of them are, "Crawl", "Something better", "Fly fall fly", "Because of you", "Come around again" (my personal favorite) and "Bear with me". Look for new stuff by Mr. Watts under his new band name Fallborn!

This is an album that draws you in like a tractor beam, each track pulling you in further and adding to the impressiveness and vulnerability of the artist, until it's done and you are blown away by the comprehensive greatness of it all. The compositions are masterful and varied, the musicianship tight, the lyrics and vocals filled with genuine heartfelt emotion, and it all maintains that beautiful sound of a relatively raw melodic rock album (not over-produced, to me that's a good thing). Some artist comparisons come to mind, but none of them do justice to the versatility and excellence of Sleeping Fire. I had never heard of Adam Watts before I found this album, and now I will never forget his powerful music or the truth-inspired messages conveyed. Buy this album...you will not be disappointed. It may even change your life.
  • THESE GUYS ROCK!

I just had the incredible priviledge of seeing them tonight at "The Flock" outreach in Irvine, CA. I brought a bunch of friends and we were all just blown away! We got to hear some of his songs from the new album tonight as well as old favorites. Adam's guitar is such a vital part of his music. His lead guitarist is free to extend the music in ways most bands can't do without more members. The bass and drums were precise and hard hitting. And all the while, Adam's ringing vocals continuing endlessly like they were coming from someone who was not masterfully plucking his guitar. How do they do it?? Suprise ending: Adam is a master on the drums as well! He and the drummer switched places between beats and finished the song! Totally awesome! I will never forget seeing these guys live.

I got his first CD 'The Noise Inside' and I didn't stop listening to it for 6 months. This album is a worthy follow up to it. I still can't stop listening to this one
  • Thought provoking and inspiring...

As with "The Noise Inside", Adam Watts writes/produces/sings and plays nearly every instrument on this record. Each song is distinct yet there is a great cohesion to this record. That cohesion lies in the theme that recurrs throughout. Our comforts here in America have created an over all complacency. We have the love/life of Christ in us...we should be shouting it from the rooftops! That flame/fire Adam sings so passionately about about is the Holy Spirit...let's live in boldness with that Spirit inside! Thanks for the wakeup call Adam! Oh, fair warning..."My Prayer" is addicting as all get out!
  • Great Sophmore follow up!

I think Adam Watts is one of the best Christian Artists out there that deserves more airplay than some of the other bands out there. The best songs are Crawl, Because of You, Come Around Again. Great effort, cannot wait to hear more music from Adam.
