True fans of Sevendust throughout the years understand that they grow and evolve with time. Everyone knows lighting doesn’t strike twice but Sevendust has been able to capture that lighting and use it to create great music for over 20 years. The last thing I want to hear in 2023 is a new Album from Sevendust that sounds like it’s from 1998.

I love Sevendust, and this album is an instant classic. Their best since Animosity in my opinion.
  • Good album

Good album but could be better. I think if these guys stepped outside the box just a little bit the results could be mind blowing.
  • Awesome!

This sounds like generic alt rock from early 2000.
  • Same old

These guys really need to reinvent themselves at this point. They have been releasing the same album for over a decade now. One of the most repetitive bands I have ever heard. Good band career wise but bland and predictable.
  • If you have heard one Sevendust song, you’ve heard them all.

They have sounded the same since Cold Day Memory (2010) and that is being generous. If you have heard one Sevendust song at this point, you have heard them all. Really wishing they would do something to mix it up. Tired and old. I wish they went out with a bang but it does not seem to be the case. Three stars for an actual solid second half of the album, starting at Sick Mouth onwards. The first half is blah, and the opener does nothing to set the tone for the record. I Might Let the Devil Win feels like it might be the most repetitive song ever, with the same phrase being said over and over.
  • Let down

This is not what I’d expect from Sevendust. Too much electronic style.

    Great band…lackluster production.

Funny how many people are crying it still sounds like 7D. If you want super heavy music go buy that. The guys aren't trying to write someone else’s music or copy someone else’s sound. Also not one person leaving comments produces music or makes it proffesionally. Just remember "its easier to judge art than it is to make it". I really like the album. So far its true to their sound and the lyrics are great. I have met them multiple times (great group of guys) and will always support them as long as they stay true to themselves. Is it heavy with screaming, NO! But thats not 7D and I hope they never change who they are!
