I'm kicking myself for taking 3 years to buy this album. If you enjoy listening to great songs by one of the best songwriters to ever live, you might like this. Smart, funny, witty, perfectly written, and well played.

Another collection of gems from one of America's premier songwriters. Instead of rushing a load of commercial manure in order to please some execs, Mr. Clark takes his time and polishes each song to a high lustre, offering delightful slices of Anywhere, U.S.A. How anyone can tell such incredibly compelling stories in an average of about 3 min. 20 sec. is beyond me. This is true Americana deluxe. Thank you Guy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Classic Clark all the way. Guy shows his colors in today's state of affairs and truly is an analog "Guy" in a digital world. I just love hearing him say the word mandolin. Once again, Mr. Clark has somehow managed to pack 150 years of experience into his lifetime and then bestow all of that experience back upon us through his thoughtfully crafted prose. From the spark of "Cinco de Mayo in Memphis" to the everyday man of "Out in the Parkin' Lot" to the dreadful pain of a broken "Funny Bone", Guy again proves his talent for writing songs that mean something.

This album is the real deal if you like authentic country. The duet with Verlon Thompson is an ace.

Guy Clark is a gifted poet who never fails to deliver that Texas groove. Brad Paisley covered Guy's Out in the Parking lot on one of his last albums...take a listen and hear how that song is supposed to sound. The coolest new song on this album has to be Cinco de Mayo in Memphis. Overall another must have for Guy Clark fans and a decent starter for those new to Guys music. Try his live "Keepers" album if you like this. Phil B.
