I have been a Steve Perry fan for as long as I can remember. I was so happy to learn that he was slowly returning to share his heart with us through the beautiful gift God has freely given him.
These semi raw versions of his Traces work are absolutely wonderful.
I have always wondered if Steve would ever consider releasing some very raw and working material. I truly believe that if he ever did, not only would it draw the real listener in even closer to the song(s), they would also greatly appreciate the birth and creation process of them and experience an even deeper level of appreciation, way over the usual finished and polished product.
Then again I could be slightly biased!
Bravo Steve! And welcome back (again)!

I love this version of the songs in Traces. They come through as very intimate and soulfull. There is a sensitivity to his performance, a delicacy, at the same time that he sings about heartbreaking experiences that have the power to change your world. Thank you SP for letting us access the very deapths of our hearts with your music.

Oh my! Just when you think Steve Perry couldn’t get better. He drops the stripped version of Most Of All. His voice is amazing. The arrangement and production value is superb. I pre-ordered my copy immediately. December the 4th can’t get here fast enough, so I can here rest of the album. Christmas come early thanks to Steve Perry.
