I got turned on to this by a fellow power pop fan. If you're a fan of Avril, Michelle Branch, newer Sarah Mclaughlin, etc., then you'll like this. It's very formulaic and by-the-book Top 40 pop music, but it does have great production and Aruna has a nice voice; just nothing really unusual or interesting about it to me. The songs are well-crafted adult contemporary-style ditties, but nothing here speaks to me as it's quite standard both musically and lyrically; it would be nice if she explored some more creative lyrics and music, but she does the bubble gum coffee house thing well. Again, you'll love it if you're into this kind of thing; I personally wish that artists like her would really break the mold and do something cool and truly interesting. The music world needs more talented people like her to really take risks instead of doing the same generic wash, rinse, and repeat thing!
  • Love it.

i remember hearing one of aruna's songs on an episode of Laguna Beach a few years ago, and ever since i heard that song, i always had it in my head, even after all these years, but never knew what the song was. i finally found it, and it was the other side by aruna, i also listened to her other stuff and i can't help but fall in love with everything about her music, she has great piano, vocals and lyrics that touch your soul.

I have loved Aruna's music since hearing her first in 2001 in Boston. As soon as I owned Running Red Lights, I fell in love with the lyrics, sentiment, mood, arrangements and her exceptional musicianship and voice. Then, my husband started putting the record on all the time. It is an absolute favourite of ours and I recommend a listening with a bottle of fine wine. Aruna will be a household name. It's just a matter of time.
  • I enjoy it a lot!

I must say, with one of my favorite pop rock female singers Michelle Branch going country I'm very pleased to find this artist (better late than never I suppose!). I highly recommend this if you are or were a fan of Michelle Branch or are looking for some pretty great pop rock tunes
