Where is the song used when the go to black alert to save the colony?!?! I see another album but it’s not there either!!! Would give 5/5 if it’s released!!!

I'm sorry, you call that a theme?!?! It's just a bunch of random notes making noise. This soundtrack it just as bad as the series is. Avoid this and the series. Stick to the Star Trek before this crap - you know, when Star Trek was good and done correctly.

While I like the instrumentation/arrangement, melodically the Main Title is on par with the old Star Trek Animated Series main title. It sounds like generic TV rip off music. Alexander Courage and the old Star Trek Composers came up with a wealth of hummable themes -- beyond the famous fanfare. Seems like a composer worth his/her salt would recognize that and use one of those.

I admit that I had doubts about Jeff Russo when he was announced to be the composer for "Star Trek: Discovery." However, upon hearing his opening theme, which integrates the original fanfare by Alexander Courage, it seems that judgement was incorrect. May his compositions allow Gene Roddenberry's vision, musically, continue to "live long and prosper."

This may be my first review on iTunes. This Star Trek Discovery soundtrack was a must have since the show first debuted back in September 2017. Hopefully, there may be a second chapter rounding out the last few episodes of the season.
