  • Amazing vibe

I remember this show like it was yesterday. A buddy and I drove all day from Davenport where we went to college, we were meeting some buddies from Chicago at the show. We rolled into to town and were running a little late but found a parking spot. This was before cell phones and as fate would have it we entered the Bradley Center in the same doors as our buddies. They had the party favors and away we went, missing a few minutes of Cats Under the Stars. Jerry and the band were in great form. The whole setlist was wonderful and I love the backup singers melody. I was amazed that were were able to find the car when we left, it was snowing hard and we were in our right mind, walking around the venue a few times before we figured out where the car was. We went to a few parties around Marquette. Weird thing was, that nut Jeffery Dahmer had just been arrested a few months earlier. Great vibe

This show rips from beginning to end. I remember worrying all day that this show might be cancelled because of the snow; it was bad, but I knew if it came together that everyone would get a real treat for making it out. Absolutely stellar set list. Getting my rig in to record this tour and pulling it off was a real challenge, so getting a great recording wasn't always possible. I'd really like to see more of these shows released, especially the night in Worcester MA. The Shining Star from that night was like nothing I've ever heard; brings tears to my eyes whenever I listen to it. Regardless, this show is still a 5 * winner. The whole show was a "highlight" so I don't think there's a need to go into detail on any one song. You won't go wrong with this show, but do yourself a favor and buy the entire show. You may think you're just "cherry picking" when buying individual songs, but your really missing out when you do that.
  • One of the best!

No, I wasn't alive for the heyday of the Grateful Dead and I was only 5 when this show was recorded but I've listened to hundreds of live recordings from the Dead and Jerry's solo work and this is one of the best quality recordings I've ever heard. Not to mention one hell of a set list.

The band rips through a funky version of the Clapton classic. Driven by some great organ and nice pickin from Jerry!
