Off the beaten path

I like the idea of exploration in this album. I think every artist has the right and yearning to gaze into different opportunities and explore, but I'm so intertwined with the acoustic, raw United Pursuit of the past that it makes it difficult for me to enjoy the album. When I came to faith I clung to albums like Live at the Banks House and Simple Gospel because they were pure worship – it was just a band and a bunch of people making music in some house. There was something different about them than every other artist I had heard. You could feel the band going with the flow and relying solely on the Spirit. And while this album is different and unique, I feel as if there was less focus on just worshipping and more emphasis on musical production. I will always love the band and respect their talent but this just isn't my album. Love y'all and thanks for all the work you do. God bless.
Love the lyrics but can't stand the noises

I am so sorry for the one star!I love United Pursuit. They exalt Jesus in their worship. However, for some reason in this release their music has irritating noises at the beginning or at the end of the songs. In fact, its so bad that I can't listen to it (the reason for the one stat). I wish there was a way to edit the songs so that only the music with lyrics would play. (If anyone know how to do this, let me know.) For what its worth, I hope that Will Reagan and the guys won't continue doing this on the next release. Their music is sooooo good, its a shame to mess it up with strange sounds and noise before and after their songs.

Wow wow wow. SPEECHLESS (almost). What these guys do with words is something brought forth by the Spirit. We are often incapable of expressing the kind of words (or worship) that reach into our humanity and pull us closer to Heaven. This group's melodies speak for themselves, and give each word the kind of meaning and truth that sinks deep past our finite understanding and straight into our eternal souls. JUST WOW. THANK YOU for taking the time to put this together. My mind (my heart), and my worship are different after this.

I'm not one to over spiritualize things or speak in Christianese, so I won't do that here. I will say this, however: This is a special album, containing a sweet spirit and sound of people yearning for a good, good God. Musically, it's simple and simply beautiful. I am a long time fan. This album proves once again why that's true and likely always will be.
