The Spoils is an earworm. Very pretty. Strings. Few of the sonic trappings you usually expect from MA. Come Near Me also features a nice vocal performance. I don’t think either of these are MA classics, but they’re perfectly enjoyable and beautifully produced in a more relaxed, stripped down mode.
  • Really good EP

I was surprised it's only two songs, but they're both great and classics in their own right. I kind of like getting a couple of new songs every few months from these guys, rather than waiting years for an album. Keep up the great work!!!

In this age of high technology, we demand more and the more we demand, the faster we want it, and the faster we go, the more we demand the quick and easy. This new output by Massive Attack is slowed way down. This Bristol outfit embraces technology, but they’ve never been about speed, really. I’ve only heard the first two songs off this new EP. Both “The Spoils” and “Come Near Me” pull the listener into a slow moving time, and we’re sublimely better off for it. Both songs get better and better, richer and richer with repeat listens, and show me what I’m missing when going about my business too quickly. Masterful!

Another great couple of times here. Very heartbreaking but captivating vocals on The Spoils and a great Trippy vibe on Come Near Me
