I went to my first Bobby Caldwell concert in the 90’s and my devotion has never waned, since! I have seen him as many times as i have seen Willie Nelson. Maybe even more. Sometimes, change is good and in this case, the change was great, for Bobby. I love how producer, Jack Flash has brought out a fresh, yet, familiar sound out of Caldwell. Bobby does not stray away from his r&b/smooth jazz roots. Flash has maintained that integrity; yet, he also managed to add his own twist to the album. Flash has injected a new beat, a slightly different and welcomed sound. I am a new fan of Jack Flash’s. And of Bobby Caldwell, I am delighted that he is giving us what we have been getting for forever - just now, with a bit more Flash. :)
