I have been checking this kid for the past two or so years. The beats are incredible! Collaborations, are crazy. I feel like he is helping a lot of artists in his region both well established, and newcomers shine.

On the real for REAL! This album brought me back to what made me love hip-hop so much in the beginning! Raw, rugged production with a personality on the mic to match track after track. Where in the world has this kid been my whole life? Just when you couldn't take another politically motivated spoof... or self proclaimed street mercenary a.k.a. fake attempt at projecting the real hardcore! Boom!! Here comes Black Milk saying, "bump all o' dat!" This is what back packers wish they had the talent to pull off... what gangstas wish their words moved like... what producers wish they would've never abandoned! There's no magic tricks or gimmicks to play off here... it's a concentrated ambition that's instantly felt when you press play! If there's one word that describes this album, it's gotta be RAW!!

J Dilla (RIP), Slum Vill, Phat Kat, Big Tone, BR Gunna, Invincible, Guilty Simpson, Fat Ray, Marv Won, Mu and the list goes on... These cats are all sick! You can't go wrong with anyone from this camp. Black further proves this with this album. There's gotta be something in the water...

You can't go wrong with these tracks. If you really wanted to, you could bang these tracks in the club. Most likely, you'll enjoy this in your home, your homie's crib, and -- my favorite -- in the car while rollin'. Don't front on it: if it makes your head nod inexplicably, this album is built for you. Even if you're not paying attention to the songs, it's still good music to have in the background. This is my morning time music, and starts me off with the right frame of mind: Today is gonna be a good day. Check out selections from the Barak catalog: B.R. Gunna, Slum Village, PHAT KAT, etc. This cat just needs to drop on a "big time" artist. Crack the bank, Black Milk. Peace!
  • IN THE IMMORTAL WORDS OF DILLA......TURN IT UP!!!!!

~R.I.P. - DILLA! Thank you for the inspiration, you're a timeless legend that shall live eternally~ Black Milk bangs out aggressively crafted masterful joints that keep me wondering....What are these cats from the D on. With cunningly quick chops and stabs this LP has all the makings for what begins to look like Black's rise in the music game. He's already compiled an extensive list of hits for cats behind the boards but is now stepping out in front of the mic. Beat heads, producers, emcees, fans of good music period. Cop this record and support REAL MUSIC!
