Elvis Presley was a one off. There has never been another voice that could move the world like his did...and still does. His voice was so powerful and beautiful he not only moved our nation he moved the world! He made us want to dance, to love, to remember heart break.... we brought on screams by throngs of young girls and middle-aged women alike! He made us cry with the skill of a master storyteller with a voice so spectacular seemed our response was visceral!! So many of us grew up loving him loving his music sad to see him go… But every now and then listen to him sing gospel R&B really just about anything and he made us feel really feel like music had never done before. It breaks my heart the way we lost him but I'm so grateful for the gift he gave the world. Thank God there was an Elvis Presley. Thank God he sang. Thank God we got to hear him!! Thank God for that beautiful voice he gave to one man who moved the world! We love you Mr. Presley thank you for all you gave us!

  • Elvis' last great engagement

TTWII is significant for so many reasons. It was recorded at a time when Elvis was still full of energy and the live show was still a nerve wracking experience for him. He has just released a previous live album that had done very well in 1969, and felt pressure to top his performance. He was doubly under pressure to deliver for the film of this engagement. On top of all this there were more new songs in the live act that had ever been attempted. Elvis rose to the occasion and delivered a steller performance. TTWII will stand the test of time as his last truely great engagement. His voice is magnificent, and the band is incredibly tight. Sit back and be raptured by performances of "In The Ghetto", "Twenty Days and Twenty Nights", and "Suspicious Minds." If you've never purchased an Elvis live album this is a good place to start.
