I really like this cd and before buying it it kept popping up through baby Einstein on pandora. I decided to get it once I saw my daughter enjoyed it more than the other baby songs. She barely 2 months and she instantly calms down when she hears the calming sounds of this cd!! Love it!!

Bad review time! On the quality and reputation alone, as soon as I saw that Rockabye Baby released an album of renditions of my favorite band Journey I didn't even listen to the samples, I just clicked the buy album button and bought the whole album right away, I was so excited. I'm sorry, but I have a lot of the earlier Rockabye Baby albums and this Journey album sounds like they're just churning them out now with no regard or care of the quality. It sounds so thin, the sounds used are so tinny. The earlier releases like Radiohead, The Beatles, No Doubt, Queen, Cold Play, Beach Boys, Greenday, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, U2 and The Rolling Stones sound so full with all the bass notes and beautifully sustained notes. These earlier albums have all of the correct parts of the songs unlike the Journey album. A lot of key vocal melodies/phrasing that Steve Perry sang in the originals are totally missing, what a huge disappointment! And the heavy use of the Marimba type sound is so annoying, not something I would consider using for putting a baby to sleep! The earlier versions are done so well that I'd listen to them over the originals in a lot of cases, they're as good to me. During this same buying session, I bought some Aerosmith as well and when I listened to these cuts they sounded exactly as described above which sadly leads me to believe they are churning these albums out for money now. I hope they can get back to the earlier format how the created these albums.

We have a bunch of Rockabye Baby CD's, but this is my favorite. I think Journey songs translate to the lullaby sound really well. I love the birds and crickets in the beginning of some of the songs. I think I've listened to the CD more than my 1 month old!

This album is by far one of my favorites!!! I am listening to it before my baby is born...and my husband loves it too!
