I was lucky enough to see this tour in Portland nearly 15 years ago. I crotched a Walkman in and recorded it and listened to that crummy bootleg for a decade. Thanks for the brilliant upgrade. The sound is crisp and intimate. It's nice not to have to listen to my pants. I only wish they included the entire show- Mr. Soul, A Man Needs a Maid, Needle and the Damage Done Cripple Creek Fairy and several other greats.

Listening to these songs unfiltered by the tricks of the recording engineers offers a more intimate experience than the original album, great as it is. Listen closely to "War of Man", written almost two decades ago. Remind you of anything going on today?

Lord knows my temptation to purchase this. I listened to the preview twice. Yea, a little rawer. Yea, just Neil, no band. But, an acoustic set of already mostly acoustic songs that I've already listened to a million+ times... I can wait. The 11:26 Natural Beauty intrigues me, to be sure. But the dreaded iTunes classic "Album Only" comes into play there. So, I'll wait. I'm sure the old man has something more interesting than this up his sleeve somewhere down the road. I'm going to go back to playing Archives Vol. I until then.

It's good to see such a steady stream of recordings from the Neil Young Archives. I loved the Harvest Moon record when it came out in the early 90s and it's even better to relive it now. The sound quality is excellent and Young delivers with a heartfelt performance. Young fans won't be disappointed with this record!
