Love all there stuff except Electrify it's really inappropriate that's why I gave it one star less.
  • I'll tell you why people hate this album

**ignore best album header it's a glitch that Apple can't seem to fix lol***......anyway, people hate this album because they want their darling artists to produce the same thing over and over again, to serve the listeners nostalgic whims. Seriously, don't believe what people are saying, that mute math were once groundbreaking and sold out with this album. This band has always written radio friendly music. The only difference is that where the last album was high energy, this one is more somber and relaxed. But they succeeded in their mission: catchy and memorable radio friendly music with avante garde/experimental motifs. Keep in mind mutemath evolved from a CHRISTIAN ROCK band, so the fact that they are even listenable to someone who doesn't like Christian Rock AT ALL is noteworthy. -Lee Lapeyrouse

My only problem is that Electrify was really dirty and empty. I like the sound of the album.

I first heard mutemath in 04 when my family was moving. Peculiar people was the cut but I didn't know it was mutemath til high school then I bought the reset ep. 3 years later I bought the self-titled album mutemath and believed it was amazing. With that being said this second album shows their evolution in musical maturity. I understand why someone would feel that they lost their way in some of the lyrical content . I am slightly afraid to buy the next album in fear of being disappointed , but I'm still optimistic so I'll probably buy it anyway.

Armistice was released about 4 years ago, and I still love it! Just like a fine wine... smother with age.

I've been with MM from the beginning. This is definitely my favorite album, hands down. Clipping stayed on repeat for about 3 weeks.

    1. If you are only hating on this because it isn't, " A musically excellent band that praises God," please keep your religious views out of the sphere of rating music. Christianity does not have a monopoly on rhythmically interesting music and as such religion should not play any sort of part when it comes to rating music. 2. You might think that the songs here are low technicality, but I'd suggest you go back and listen to every piece again and realize that achieving this level of integration between the constant drum + base line and the vocals + melody is no easy feat, and I heartily congratulate MuteMath for doing so. 3. Please just listen to "spotlight" and "prytania" over and over again until you understand because this whole album is gold.
