Absolutely fantastic, energetic performance. This is definitely one of the best shows included in the Legs and Boots 07 series (I would know... I have all of them and have been listening to them since last November and December, when they were first available.) Firstly, please know that the label "Explicit" on every single song is extremely inaccurate and misleading. For example, "Yo George" "Sweet Dreams" and "Almost Rosey" contain absolutely no profanity whatsoever. In fact, the majority of the songs contain no profanity. There are a few songs and chats with the audience in which Tori curses. The only song that should be labeled as "explicit" as far as I'm concerned is "Cornflake Girl" because Tori drops the f-bomb while addressing the audience, and also there's one questionable word in "Sugar." On a different note, the song labeled as '439' is called "Tombigbee." That's it. Highlights from this show include: "Devils and Gods"- a completely re-vamped and extended live arrangement, with additional verses, lyrics, and a killer piano motif. The addition of percussion and bass for the live version brings this originally brief ditty from American Doll Posse to life! "Scarlet's Walk"- haunting vocals, good piano and keyboard, atmospheric guitar. Perfectly executed. "Caught a Lite Sneeze"- perhaps the best rendition of this song I've ever heard, intense vocals, nearly earthshattering, the piano reminds me of licking flames, that's the visual I get. "C'est Bon"- Tori spontaniously makes up a song about how she went to Bora Bora on her way to AU on tour and got a tatoo. "Garlands"- extremely rare performance, only been performed live 4 times ever. Quite possibly the best performance ever, far surpasses the breathtaking Boston 05 performance. She alters a few little things, such as how she ends the song, by whisper singing the words "these garlands" instead of ending with the haunting paino riff, which she begins the song with before going off into a piano improv. Lowlights: "Professional Widow"- Tori left the stage for a character (costume and wig) change as usual, and her band mates jammed rightiously to Tori's pre-recorded vocals. The band's performance is fantastic, but the vocals are (as they're previously recorded) unfitting with the other live sounds going on. "Digital Ghost"- I love Tori, and this performance is fantastic, however, at the very tail end of the song, she makes a very odd noise, likely unintentionally, that throws off the gorgeous, gentle vibe of this winning song from the new album. Hope that helps. Enjoy this fantastic show!
