This is the COC that I love. Back when they were a more crossover band than a sludge band, so don't expect any songs like albatross on here. Just stand up punch you in the face crossover thrash on this record

This is by far COC's best album. Unfortunately, the band went on into the 90s, after Mike Dean left, and utterly disgraced the name of COC. "Holier" is my favorite, but they're all awesome songs. This is really a wonderful document of mid 80s American crossover hardcore/punk. Never gets old.

You had to have it. It set the terms for hardcore in NC and beyond. It wasn't until a few years later, when I would see pictures of people like James Hetfield and even Joey Ramone wearing the spiky-skull COC shirts, that I realized how big an influence the record had had. I can't think of a better hardcore record from that era.

Few albums are able to capture pure, unfiltered, crystalline anger like Animosity does. This one goes along with Cro-Mags Age of Quarrel as quintessential american hardcore classics. Back in the day, the craziest friend you had was always the one with the Animosity tape.

i had heard some of thier other albums but this one i like most out off all of them, they sound more thrashy and the beats are faster. the song albatross i like but this is some better stuff..loss for words is good.
