I purchased this album to replace an old vinyl that I had when I was much younger. Great array of Barbra's talent and humor. My only complaint is that the track "My name is Barbra" doesn't really qualify as a whole song, so 99¢ is kind of a rip off for that one.

This has to be my favorite album, because my mother picked my name from it!!! I always remember thinking as a child that she did the song Jenny Rebecca, just for me. Imagine my disappointment as I got older & realized it wasn't!

One of the best Albums/now cds ever done. Love the orchestra and Barbara's vocals are above reproach.

This lp is Barbra's fifth release and is a soundtrack recording based on her television special of the same name "My Name Is Barbra." While some of the songs display Barbra's sense of humor it was also a platform for some of her strongest vocal performances, namely the last three songs. "If You Were The Only Boy In The World" has an almost Bossa Nova break, "Why Did I Choose You" is a sweeping melodic piece that was edited for the "Greatest Hits" lp, "My Man" would become a Streisand staple and was included in the "Funny Girl" stage play and subsequent big screen production. The mastering of this disc is top-notch.

This is a great collection of songs by some of the most talented composers ever to put musical pen to paper, sung by a brilliant interpreter and vocalist. From the joyous, silly and even touching "I'm Five/A Kid Again" to her thrilling performance of "My Man," Streisand confirms her place as the definitive female vocalist of her generation.

This album is amazing. Some of the songs are comedic and give this album a funny side, and then others are just sung beautifully like all Barbra's songs. I just love Barbra Streisand and i think this album is nicely balanced between comedic and serious songs and it is definately worth buying.
