The last great Furs record. Heaven is a classic!

There are a few small gems to be mined in the blip decade of the 80's. This happens to be one of them. Yes, it does sound somewhat vapid and airy when you peruse some of these clips, but the real treasure of the Furs were the boozy voice of Richard Butler and the seductive melodies crafted by the band. This was make-out music 80's style. Put on your Walkman, close your eyes, and you are transported to that teen landscape of bad hair, bad clothes, studied looks in the mirror, and goofy movies that someone who grew up in that time can never forget. Looking back on it now, I would never trade any of it for the constant stream of commentary that we are subjected to regarding our culture today.

One of the best from that era. Too bad it reminds me of my college girlfriend's dorm room. But that should not stop you from appreciating the craftsmanship, of course. ;-)

For some reason "The Ghost In You" was playing in my head and so I very impulsively bought the album from ITUNES. This whole album is just as great as I remembered. Now I need to find my edited for tv copy of "Repo Man".

A bit more atmospheric than other albums of theirs, Mirror Moves is fairly consistent all the way through. I tire of hearing "Pretty in Pink" and "Love My Way" as the Furs songs played on the radio, and "The Ghost in You" and "Heaven" are better songs. And both are on this album. If you think you like the Furs, buy this album.
