In her song "Looking for America", Lana Del Ray perfectly captures the loss of innocence we go through whenever a public, horrific moment happens -- in this case it was Gilroy Garlic Festival that was followed soon after by the #ElPassoShooting & #DaytonShooting. But in reality it could have been any of the others like Parkland or Sandy Hook where gunsense & order were replaced with gun craziness & fear. Unfortunately, she doesn't find America or a solution by the end of the song, which is also part of the bewilderment of living in this moment -- the solutions are clear but our government won't act. Let's hope the song is timeless but the problem she adresses will be fixed!
