Saw them open in Las Vegas for Judas Priest... the killed it! Played tracks from this disc with the new bass player, and had more stage energy than Priest by far (Halford didn't move two steps in any direction, head down all night). For those wishing this was your Heep from the 70's, let it go, that was almost 50 years ago. Who could possibly expect that, and how could they do it. If you love it, let it be. If its no longer your cuppa, plenty others to find. These guys play to tens of thousands in arenas all over Europe, then when asked to open for Priest to a couple thousand, they nailed it, and rocked every minute of their opening set. Lucky to have seen them with Byron and Wetton in 1976, and will support them until they or I am no more! Rock on!

I own every Uriah Heep album. I have been a fan since the first album in 1970. This new album harks back to the old days. Easily this is the best album since the Wonderworld/Return To Fantasy albums. Mick Box is still amazing. The band is just great. Bernie Shaw’s vocals are as good as ever. Great music.
  • Should be in the Hall of Fame...

This album is so Heep. Hard vocals, perfect harmonies, growling organ and Mick Box's screaming guitar. Been waiting for this album since I saw them in March. After almost 50 years and 25 studio albums, these guys are so underrated. I remember when the top 4 progressive rock bands according to Rolling Stone were Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep. Heep is the only band not in the Hall. Hope to see them there soon. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy their music.

With all of todays over produced, cookie cutter crap that passes for rock, I am grateful for the U.K. rockers. Bands like U.F.O., Uriah Heep, and Magnum, to name a few, have been rocking and putting out music since 1970 or before. Times change, sure, but all of these groups have lived a lifetime already and have seen and been through more than most kids these days will ever see. It is reflected in their music and after 4o plus years, their craft is unsurpassed. Where will "Todays" chart toppers be in 40 years?
  • Ok so far.....

GbH sounds more like old Rainbow than Heep. I guess things change. Anxious to see (hear) how the rest of the album sounds.
