I’ve been following MWS since the 90s and this album proves he can evolve as an artist into someone truly talented. Please continue to make more music like this Michael.

Don't get me wrong, I love his worship and instrumental albums but this is the sound that I most enjoy from MWS. It has been a while but he really nailed it on this release. The writing and lyrics are first-rate. The lyrics for Conversation are so apt to this day. Most of it is classic MWS sound updated, but to me the chorus for Crashing Waves is simply electric. Thanks Smitty for continuing to work hard at crafting great music to the Glory of God.

I like the fast beat for running on “Footsteps”. I definitely plan to put that song on my running 🏃🏽‍♀️ playlist! “Illuminating Lights” is a great way to start the day. “Something in my Heart” reminds me of his older song, “For you” that had a trumpet 🎺 play. Michael also has some slower songs for people to enjoy. This is a great album!

I've been a Michael W Smith fan since the 80s. My kids have grown up hearing him, but not really connecting to the "sound." I purchased this album and started playing it in our family area withouth telling them who it was. First my husband commented how much he liked the music. Next, my kids were saying how much they enjoyed it- and then I told them it was my long time Christian music love- Michael W Smith! We have been enjoying every song on this incredibly contemporary and relevant album. Amazing how he keeps re-inventing himself and yet stays true to himself. GREAT JOB and THANK YOU!!!!

Yet again another canned performance with vapid lyrics!!!!!!!!!!! To bad he usually does so much better than this even his thousand lights good lord so we really have to use The choirs for 3 minuets to whip up some fleshy feeling tooo bad!!!!!And a lot of the reviews are right sounds like all other albums canned!

Thank you Michael and team for making an amazing album that is worshipful and from the heart in praise to our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just heard it live on your first stop of the world tour in MN. Bless you for bringing joy to our lives as you share the good news.

On first listen toA Million Lights, the album felt a tad overproduced and lyrics failed to grab at me. However, this album has improved with each listen. The cliché verses, while still evident, stand out far less, and the other more subtly profound verses begin to rise to the surface. By the third listen-through, the music no longer feels overproduced, but feels artistic and creative. Smith is at best when he is not predictable and stretches himself. Some may point out that many of the tones and sounds are familiar to other popular secular artists, but this fails to appreciate Smith’s past as a keyboardist. In some sense, this album is a return to roots for MWS. It reminds me of his earliest works (MWS Project, MWS 2, Big Picture), but with the edge of Live the Life. In the end, this album is definitely purchase-worthy and should be considered a solid entry into his tenured discography.
  • I love this album.

This album is the best than Michael W. Smith's other new album Surrounded. I still love Michael W Smith though. This is one of my favorite albums.
