After his last three misfires (Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Spider-Man: Homecoming) this score is a breath of fresh air. There are stretches of the film that are nothing but Ape signing and scenery shots, so the music really stood out in parts. And unlike his previous three efforts, his themes really added to the intensity of the scenes in the film. I can't wait to listen to this isolated.

I saw an early screening of this film yesterday, and I must say....
I never thought I'd be a Giacchino fan when I first saw Super 8, or Up for that matter... but with the film's I've seen him compose, I absolutely loved them! Now, this album was a total surprise!
This was the first time I ACTUALLY got goosebumps from this score! I'm so glad I got to view the early screening last night!

Giacchino getting back to basics. He absolutely killed it, I've been getting very sick of Michael he's everywhere with more than 5 films coming out a year not even hans zimmer is that busy and he has people assisting him with his music. rogue one and doctor strange were garbage and Spider-Man homecoming was not that great, but this is fantastic. I still think he needs to take a break and let others do some scores because he's starting to repeat himself.
