Trower plays flawlessly and he pulls the sound he wants out of each and every note he plays. It really is amazing to hear and watch a genius at work. Slow and heavy blues with great riffs and bass lines. Pure perfection.

Robin Trower has been releasing an impressive string of LPs in the 21st century. On last few releases, in addition to the guitar and bass tracks, he has been handling all -or- most of the vocals as well..."Time and Emotion" is another record in this format. I've been enjoying this record over the past week. It has a similar vibe and the now familiar sound of his last few releases, that of a mature R&B record featuring bold guitar playing. While not as strong as 2014's brilliant "Something's About to Change", this record is another strong set of tunes with gorgeous playing, and Robin's vocals seem to grow more confident on each release. I feel like this record has a little bit more of a mid- 70's vibe to it than his recent records. While I do miss the presence of a great vocalist on his recent work, which would push these tunes to another level (I often imagine one of his inimitable former collaborators Jimmy Dewar or Davey Pattinson singing these tunes), the performances are solid and enjoyable. Trower is a unique artist with a deep well of music in him...I am happy to hear what he is willing to share.

When Bridge Of Sighs was released, Rolling Stone Magazine wrote "The Most Innovative Guitar Player." 40 years later RS mag doesn't even have Robin in the TOP 100 guirarist of all time??

Professional musicians making great blues/rock again. I prefer the more edgy rock that Robin produces from time to time. But the quality can't be denied.

I have listened to Robin Trowers Guitar for over 50 years now and never get tired of it. I do have to say though, and I don't mean any disrespect, that I don't care much for the vocals here. But that's just my opinion. It's still worth listening to.

Last time I bought a Robin Trower album I was in high school and Jack Bruce was the singer. This sounds much better.

Whern I first heard Robin Trower with Procol Harum fifty years ago, I was hooked. His screaming licks on Whiskey Train are still a marvel! Fast forward to 2017 and his latest release, Time and Emotiion. This is some of Robin Trower's best work...and at 72 years old is nothing short of amazing! In the journey from Whiskey Train to Bridge of Sighs to today, nothing islost andf much is gained. Mr. Trower was, is, and remains a blues/rock magician. There's not a weak song in this album...from beginning to end it's as good a trip as any he's ever done. It's pretty remarkable when an artist who has been performing since 1967 is not a sad parody of his younger self, as so many other older rockers, sadly, have become. This is a joyous, sizzling new chapter in the voyage. It is an absolute must have for Trower fans. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of hearing his music...this one's an all-around winner!

Well, some Good things never change, as this new disc shows. Mr. Trower is playing like a Legend at 72. That is right, very few can play, do play or want to play like this. Thank you ROBIN, saw live back in 1986 and stil love your sound!! REAL music does exist folks....
