This album is infinitely better than Silverthorn. And I loved Silverthorn. Well done gents!

These guys just keep getting better! I have listened to this album countless times and never tire of it. I can't wait to see them perform these songs live in Buffalo Ny on Nov 24th! I'm driving three hours to see them but it will be well worth it. Truly one of the greatest bands of all time!

I absolutely love this album! Fallen Star(orchestral) made me cry at how beautiful it was!

This is more of the same from Kamelot but that's not a bad thing. This is easily their best album since The Black Halo and best album with the new singer. Not every song is winner but it all comes together in a good package.

This is truly an amazing work. I never thought they would genuinely recover from Roy's departure but this is, without a doubt, proof to the contrary. Thank you for sharing such a great work with us!
  • Kamelot’s Kool Knack

Having been disappointed by recent albums from many of my other favorite bands, that has not been the case with Kamelot’s Haven. What I want more than anything else on an album is hooks, variety, and passion, and in these categories Kamelot once again delivers. However, I had to listen to the samples quite a lot to begin to feel the bite, but that is a normal process for me (hope for those like me). Personally, I really have appreciated the symphonic background and arrangements (highlighted on the instrumental songs), the contraposition of power (virile and strong but not overwhelming) and gentleness (sensitively articulated) in and amongst the songs, the quality and virility of the lead vocals by Tommy Karevik, and the artwork (the artwork is superb). Therefore, I am very glad to report to the world on Kamelot’s Kool Knack to be passionate, Kool, and Kompletely Konsistent (5 Stars and 2 Thumbs Up).

Going into the album I probably had too high of expectations for this. I loved Silverthorn and thought each song was diverse thus making the album flow extremely well. This, however, feels like a slight step down. I almost get the feeling it was a bit rushed at times. Each song has bits and pieces that sound amazing, but in the end it feels disjointed and samey. Nonetheless, this is a good album that deserves a spin (if only to hear Tommy's amazing vocals). 75/100
