This is a really great album of surprising covers, the most surprising being Annie Lennox’s “Love Song for a Vampire” from the movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I don’t quite understand all of the song choices made here other than the fact that they all lay well for Collin’s voice. I think he is probably the most underrated male country artist to have come from the 1990s. He always had great songs, and he always sounded spot-on. He’s still got it, and while this album may be entitled Everlasting in reference to the song list, it’s really Collin himself that is everlasting, as his performances on this album show.

Collin’s voice is still strong and amazing! The best thing about this album is the way Collin captures the spirit of the original versions of the song, while making them his own. He clearly loves this material and his passion for the tunes shines through. A great collection for a night by the fire with a loved one.
