Ravi is a creator and his music evokes a deep response from those who take the time to listen. As a sentence might 'ring' with truth, so do the performances on this album ring with all that is right regarding the creative human spirit.

I listened to this album a few times through over the summer, and it still hasn't lost its wear. Tavi is an extremely gifted musician and communicates great depths through his music. The album is an eclectic mix of Tavi's favorite songs on the classical guitar, all of which display a great level of mastery over the instrument (my personal favorite is Sunburst, the opening track to the album). Overall, I would highly recommend this album to any serious musician and music lovers in general.

With the little I do know of the guitar and being a guitarist myself, Tavi's playing is second to none. With unparalleled technique, Tavi uses the power of music to transport the listener to the time and place of each piece. From the attention grabbing dynamics of Sunburst to the entrancing movement of the Macedonian girl to a final, sentimental Farewell, Tavi establishes the versatility & charm of the guitar that so many overlook in music today. We travel with Tavi through his own journey of music, and nothing shows better musicianship than the ability to share in that journey with others through music. Great record for anyone who appreciates music!

I have always loved guitar music and as a guitar player, I can say that this album has some of the most challenging pieces on the classical guitar repertoire as well as a wide variety of styles. Amazingly, Tavi mastered all of them with soulful playing, accuracy and remarkable technique. I’d definitely recommend this album to anyone who appreciates good music.

‘Reflections Along the Way’ is an exquisite album, with influences ranging from the Celtic and Balkan regions, to South American cultures. His exceptional technique and musicality shines through out the album. I would strongly recommend it to any aficionado or even those who just simply love to hear great music.

It's an amazing eclectic journey through the wonderland of classical guitar. From the virtuosic revelation of Andrew York's appropriately named "Sunburst," to the final haunting threnody of Sergio Assad's "Farewell," Tavi plays with such flawless clarity and sumptuous phrasing. He takes us on a trip through Latin America and the Balkans. Who can resist the hypnotic and beguiling "Macedonian Girl"? Infectuous Venezuelan waltzes and a trio of traditional Irish tunes take us directly to those places, with even a side trip to the movies. This is an amazing CD, exquisitely and heartfully played by Tavi Jinariu. I think you'll be held in Tavi's trance as I was. Highly recommended!
