JJ Cale was truly an artist. Not an entertainer, an artist! Every note that the guy played, every sound that came out of his mouth was the right one. Rest in peace my friend.

This was one of the first albums that I bought for myself in 1972. I loved it then and I love it now. Still have my original vinyl, but decided to download this great album tonight after hearing of his passing. J.J. Cale has been and will remain an amazing inspiration to musicians everywhere! Thank you J.J.!

  • JJ five stars

following the other reviewers an unbeatable classic and one of my all time favourite albums. Additionally. the iTunes plus version finally offers the sound like it should be. My vinyl has that really "historic" sound of an empty can, which was the only drawback uo to now. CD was not better. Thanks iTunes!

This album blew me away in 1971 and it still does. When I got my first CD player this was the first CD I bought. This is one of those "If you were on a desert island and could only have 5 albums, what whould be they?" albums. Do yourself a favor, get this one.

If you ever need to change gears from mainstream music, this album will be the vehicle. In the late sixties J.J. Cale was working in the recording industry producing various hard rock bands like "Blue Cheer". It seems to be a natural progression from that aspect of the industry and record machine mentality to find peace and calm developing his own style of of music that would be later covered by the biggest name groups and artists out of sheer admiration. Alot of people play the blues and cover blues artists of the past but "Naturally" is a collection of superb original bluesy songs that are sure to stick with you and leave you longing to hear them again. Although this album is from way back there it is a timeless classic. You've heard most of these songs before, you owe it to yourself to hear the original versions.
