  • Here's why he getting 5 stars from me, for this EP...

First, and foremost, I gave him 5 stars because it is absolutely not a 1 star. I have to say, there are a large number of Acosta haters out there, I mean, even I lean more in favor of his studio productions. A while back someone stated he has a penchant to interrupt other DJ sets. I've seen him spin many times, and he doesn't blow me away. However, after seeing Digweed, Tiesto, Oakenfold, Carl Cox, blah blah blah, it basically comes down to Acosta's lack of show-manship. Which goes ALOOONG way! The problem with Blue Monday, it has been entirely played out by every musical talent in every genre of music in existence. Acosta didn't do himself any favors with this EP release, but there is a good version on All Rights Reserved (not sure which version it is). The EP gets a 3 star, in reality, but somebody has to balance out all the irrationally dillusionistic comments by all the blatantly obvious haters out there. Open your ears to Acosta's albums! He is a candidate for American DJ of the Year, which just defunked all the 1 stars postings, and validates his talent. Suckers, I mean haters, go take a nap and relax....

This song is not my cup of tea but I would not say that George Acosta sucks as he is obviously not catering to my taste. Reviewers that bash producers should be more open minded about the market at large. Reading reviews that say "THIS SUCKS!" "HE STINKS" just make the review rude while it should be informative. George Accosta gave us the massive "Welcome to my planet soul" in the 90'...isen't that enough for a little respect?

I stand with the multitude of other reviews here... all 4 mixes are bland, repetitive, and wholly uninteresting. Track 1 is so monotone, the song is drained of the life and energy that made the original so great... and it only gets worse... culminating in track 4 which was as far as I can tell accidently recorded when the studio manager's infant child was playing with the buttons on the sound board. Too bad I can't demand a refund.

Quit strappn' Acostas jock strap! Everyone has a point, this song HAS been done... we let Orgy's version slide, but ENOUGH is ENOUGH! Really, the original is hands down the BEST, why mess with it.... If it ain't broken DON'T (I repeat...DON'T) fix it. By the way, you got something on your nose. -Rebel
