I remember listening to these songs over 20 years ago. I started listening again recently, inspired by the revival of Fast Car. It hits differently now but it’s still so relevant.
  • Bought it on tape and CD and now online it is that ageless

I loved this song when it came out and Baby Can I Hold you was one of my favorites as well as fast car as I was a 20 something year old living in New Zealand and wanted to see the world and now I am a 50 something living in California and I have seen the world and still love this song and it takes me back to my 20s.

Fast Car hits so different now as an adult. Brings me to tears every time I hear it now. I love that so many people are getting reintroduced to it after so many years.

Glad to see the world found her music again.
  • In 1998 and now 2024 Chapman music is felt from head to toe

I graduated high school in 1988. I sat in my car playing and rewinding each song over and over. Impactful then and even more today. Tracy Chapman performed at the grammys last night and moved the entire room and anyone watching. Much respect and I hope she gets to feel back the appreciation. Not sure she realizes her impact to so many. Hope her album and songs break every chart in 2024 and she can rerecord Tracys version in 2024!

I’m so happy Tracy is finally receiving her flowers and recognition for her brilliant song writing. Fast Car has been on my play list for decades. I encourage everyone to expand their playlist.
