I just saw them last week. Sept 2012 2nd time. Dennis who? Keyboard / singer new add is unreal. Tommy came out and shook hands and was very thrilled and honored to be there with the band. He said "Thank you for being fans" Great show

I listened to the 30-second preview of Come Sail Away. The title of my review speaks for itself. That's 30 seconds of my life I can never get back. And 15 more for this review. Don't waste YOUR time with this Styx knockoff.

Oh, I wish iTunes could get the live performance where they did these songs with a kids' orchestra (forget the school name, sorry). When they did 'I Am the Walrus' it was absolutely fantastic.
  • We want DD

I have seen Styx four times, and I have almost everything that they have ever written. All that and I am only 18 years old. Finding this now and listening to it is like listening to them for the first time. You will not be disappointed in listening to the songs in different way without the crowd cheering in the background. Definitely worth the buy.
  • You have to buy this

Some of this is good, Find the Cost of Freedom, Lorelei, but Come Sail Away just doesn't cut it. After downloading those three, I quit. DDY was great, but headed off in a weird direction, I can understand why the band dumped him, but this rehash of the old stuff should have been left alone. Stick with the new stuff and they'll be fine.

These guys are awesome, but could you PLEASE put a LITTLE effort into making NEW HITS instead of just reliving the glory days?
  • This is *NOT* Styx. End of Story.

I have EVERY Styx studio CD. I am one of the original Styx biggest fan. I heard them when the started out on WLS in Chicago. All of them. I recently saw Dennis DeYoung in PA at Penn's Peak. I flew from TX just to see the show. He sounded just amazing. Unbelievable. I was blown away. This version of "Come Sail Away" is so sad. Truly. Ridiculous. Stupid. I refuse to go to the "Styx" concerts as it's really just a glorified Styx cover band. Granted, Tommy Shaw has great stuff. His early stuff on the guitar and his voice is nothing less than great, but this band really waters down the talent. It's obvious to me that we will never listen to the great original Styx (obviously without John), but how great would it be? Because of my love of this band, I have been thinking about why this band broke up. Obviously "Kilroy was here" was the death nail, but it's more than that. I find it ironic that "Dont Let it End" was on that CD, but that's exactly what happened. I personally think Dennis knew. Call it creative artistic differences, but it wasn't worth the break up. This is not Styx, and your Fooling Yourself if you think so.
