Wish I would have purchased this album earlier. I love his music with Celtic Thunder and this album is not a disappointment in any way. I really enjoy laying down or sitting and listening to it. Or listening to it in the car on the way to work. Must have if you like Celtic music.

Ryan Kelly’s second cd “Life” is just that; meaningfully written and beautifully orchestrated, it manages to echo many of the emotions we all experience in our own lives. It goes from thought provoking to toe- tapping, tender to up tempo and will not only bring a tear, but also a smile. And best of all it will leave you dancing and feeling ready to embrace what life has to offer.

This album has something for everyone. From the slow and haunting "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" to the dance beat of "Moondance" to the fast-paced and hard hitting "American Dream". Through all of the songs you can hear the emotions come through (this is not an album where the songs are simply songs), and the growth of Ryan as a singer, songwriter and performer. This album will become a favorite with 2-3 songs going on your "have to hear again and again" list! Enjoy!!

The album “Life” by Ryan Kelly stirs many emotions – in both the listener and the singer. One can hear the depth of feeling as Ryan shares his music. His original songs give the listener an opportunity to get to know what’s in his heart and soul. The cover songs have been added because of their special meaning to him. His joy for life comes through with this album, and we can’t help but share that joy with him as we listen. Thank you, Ryan, for this gift of your true self.

I love this 2nd Solo Album by Ryan, his rich baritone voice brings the songs to Life!! So many of the songs he wrote I feel he looked in my heart and head and found them there, they are real and emotional and make you reflect on so many experiences of your past and present Life. Songs like American Dream and Live for Life will have you singing along and don't forget to dance along to Samba(from May to Sept)!! Ryan really showcases his talents as a Singer and Songwriter so give a listen and enjoy "Life"!!

This is the second album for this talented singer/songwriter/guitarist/storyteller. I’m a longtime Celtic Thunder fan who has sought out, discovered, and is continually exploring the individual musical creations from the members of the wonderful ensemble that is CT. If you only know Ryan Kelly from Celtic Thunder, you're in for a treat, just don't expect a Celtic Thunder album. This is Ryan Kelly, solo, at his finest! Wonderful songwriting coupled with his unique voice. Ryan Kelly's album “Life”...what can I say? It's an awesome roller coaster ride of emotions that lives up to its title. Just like in life, I have been brought from smiling and laughing, to crying, and back again. Great music such as this not only makes you want to dance and sing, but inspires you to think, feel, and reflect. This album has indeed moved me deeply and has inspired plenty of self-reflection and life examination. "Life" makes you think about how you are living and serves as a reminder to live each day to the fullest. We only get one shot, so don't forget to LIVE. There'll be good and bad, happy and sad...but there's always hope! A mix of subdued, introspective tracks and up-tempo danceable ones, 9 of which were penned by Mr. Kelly himself. Well-written, beautiful, and emotional. Like a soul laid bare. I do have my favorites, depending on my mood, but I'll leave it to you to listen and choose for yourselves. The final track, "Live for Life" is perhaps my favorite. (Admittedly, though, I do have a penchant for African drums, as I play them myself). It's about living life to the fullest, finding joys and hope in the midst of life's trials. The African drums and Zimbabwean choir on this track provide an anthemic feel. Makes me smile and dance every time! It's impossible to listen to this album and not be transformed. There's something here for everyone!!

There are a thousand ways I could describe "Life" and how brilliant it is, but it's really plain and simple. If you like good quality music, you wil LOVE this album! There are songs that will make you want to sing along, ones that will make you want to dance, and ones that will make you smile. "Life" has it all! I can listen to Ryan sing all day and never get bored!

Ryan Kelly never ceases to amaze! “Life” makes you think about choices you make and living every day to the fullest. Ryan instinctively knows how to tell a story that is meaningful to himself and the listener. The heartfelt words accompanied by beautiful music immerse you in thought-provoking beauty that only Ryan can achieve. Ryan has made a point to let us all know, no matter how tough things may seem sometimes, that we all have somebody and together we can find the light in those moments of life that seem so dark.

Ryan's second album is just as good as his first. If you like Celtic Thunder or if you just like great music, you will love this album

Being a fan prior to this cd coming out, I preordered it. I was not disappointed! It's so hard to pick a favorite, they're all so wonderful in their own ways. A few I find myself listening to more often are "Samba" "From the Very Front Row" "Significant" "Your Time" "Where I Belong" I better stop before I put all the songs here! This album will make you wanna dance, it'll make you think, laugh, and maybe even cry from the sheer excellence Ryan created it with. I love it, and I know you will too! Also check out his first album. "In Time" is just as fantastic! What are you waiting for? Go buy them!
