    This collection of pieces is incredible! I especially enjoyed the note-perfect performances of the “Moonlight” (especially the last movement) and “Hammerklavier” sonatas.

    Download the third movement (Presto) to Sonata No. 6 in F Major, Op. 10, No. 2 and listen to it by Jeno Jando. Then listen to the sample recordings of the same movement from all of the great pianists of the last 100 years for comparison (Barenboim, Brendel, Horowitz, Anda, Gilels, Gould, Kempf, and anyone else whose recordings of this sonata you can find). The recording by Mr. Jando is a standout. His technique is to record the same movement at a slightly slower tempo, so you can hear each and every note articulated clearly and crisply. Some of the other pianists (Glenn Gould comes to mind right off) play the same movement at a tempo that's way too fast. (I love Gould's recordings of Bach and Mozart, though Jando's recordings of Beethoven are far better). Some of the other artists recordings of this sonata movement sound muddied by comparison, perhaps as a function of less-than-great sound engineering. This recording allows you to hear every note of Beethoven's composition in a crisp, world-class recording. Jando's virtuosity is breathtaking. Among all of the other recordings I listened to, only Emil Gilels came close to the quality of this artist. Hurry up and download the entire album before Apple realizes its error and raises the price of the box set six-fold. But start with the Presto movement to Piano Sonata No. 6 as I mentioned above and allow yourself to do some comparison listening first so you can appreciate what a standout recording and bargain you've got here.

    Great Bargain! I bought this on iTunes a few nights ago. It was under ten dollars. The recording quality is better than some of the pricey recordings of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas. The pianist is world class. This is hours of some of western civilization's finest music for under ten bucks.

    Beethoven's piano sonatas are incredibly grand in scale. The music is covers so much range in each sonata that you feel like you are listening to an entire orchestra. The recording quality is great and Jeno Jando plays fantastic!! He really brings Beethoven to life on this album. This is the best value and maybe the best recording of Beethoven's piano sonatas out there.

    I have to say that this recording is my personal favorite of Beethoven sonatas, despite its cheap price. I've owned complete sets of Beethoven sonatas played by Kempff, Barenboim, Brandel, etc., but the crisp style, focused and clean interpretation and the audio recording of this one create what I like the best, for Beethoven at least in my mind. I read that the pianist actually was known for his Beethoven in his early career and it's no surprise that his interpretation is so fantastic, along with his impeccable technique of course.
