  • I understand why, doesn't mean I like it….

The verses are there but the production just doesn't do it for a lifelong DeadPrez fan like myself. I think most will agree. I wouldn't mind it if 2 or even 3 songs had a newer "updated' pop sound but ya'll missed one glaring fact. Your fans and followers are anti-mainstream. By watering down the DP sound and making it more mainstream you've alienating your base. Perhaps ya'll were banking on the money made from this to open up doors, but by doing so you're slowing closing the door behind you… the door ya'll fans is keeping ajar. Don't let the door close ya'll...

This record was produced and recorded by Stic with M1 emailing his parts in later. Clearly this was not a real collaboration, you don't feel any connection at all between the artists. It used to be that listening to a DP album was like going to see a movie and reading a book at the same time, so visual. They threw this thing together to collect an advance paycheck, I doubt they even see each other more than a few times a year. Sad and pathetic. For DP there is no future if it has come to this.

This is real music right here!! Each track on this album is fire! I haven't been able to listen to any album from beginning to end in years! Best album of the year hands down! Next album I'm purchasing is Jay Electronica's. The last words are classic and so true! "I could free more of you all if you only knew you were still slaves!" That was the constant theme along with love GOD and not religion:). They are the TRUTH!!!

This reminds me of some ole Afrikka Bambbattaa electro funk! Thought I was gonna have to hate on the beats. But DP did their thang once again. Hip hop is an ever changing progression.

i just have to say first off that.. just since i have listened to dead prez over the past year i have rethought everything i used to hold such conviction in.. and dead prez has helped to open my eyes to see what is real and true.. i belive these guys are as real as it gets and they speakin of the future and realizing the past.. we must pry open our third eyes and see the greatness and potential for change and explore the universe together!!!...
