I love Two Steps From Hell. I really do. This album is pretty creepy ( I can see that was what they were going for) but this is the first time I didn't thoroughly enjoy their music. The songs are okay, but they can do better...
creepy but overall good

Danny Elfman rip off

"To die on halloween" is an Elfman/burton rip off. That might be purpose of it though.
It brings me back

I love how they have gone away from the epica aspect! But don't get me wrong, I still love that! But the song such as cemetery waltz, or to die on Halloween, bring me back to good memories such as the movies, Harry potter or the nightmare before Christmas. Although its good that they are trying to be different, I just don't feel that they have a big enough audience that likes them to go astray to actually do it. But I am still a big fan of TSFH.
Spooky fun

A lot of the songs are very short. But they are still very fun. Lots are very spooky songs to put goosebumps on your back. Like always, the songs are awesome. Note: these songs are more on the horror music side, rather than the normal epic music that Two Steps From Hell always has. But they're still great. In my opinion, Exhumed was the best. I would recommend the album, but if this were to be a first buy from this group, you should get a different album first.
Inspiring!

This music for me sparks innovation, creation, thought and deep trances. I love this music and it has helped me write a huge scifi novel and I also listen to their albums when I write poetry and lyrics.
You have GOT to be kidding

Two steps from hell makes amazing music and I love the genius who came up with combining them and Halloween music. It made them all the more creepy and scary. I think it is great that they are experimenting with different types of music to play- as long as they don't go all soft on us!
Disappointed

This is simply not TSFH's style. I can't really complement anything about this one.
nothing like what i've come to expect.

in recent times, TSFH seem bored with their epica roots and keep trying to branch out. this is evident also in the sky world album (all the singing). but i feel that they aren't made for anything else; they've had so much success with epica and i think they need to stick with it. maybe they could do individual projects with other genres, but TSFH, in my mind, is strictly epic music.
