I first bought two of the songs on the album and quickly realized I couldn't live without the whole album. I play this in the car with the volume and the surround sound it deserves. Great vocals and great music! Buy the whole album you won't regret it.

I'm a 14 year old girl, and yes I can appreciate this, I've honestly become OBSESSED with this song over the past few weeks. Especially the first one, but they are all beautiful.
  • Pretty tame

This is not a version that excites me. There are more vibrant versions out there -- Bernstein, for one.
  • Nice in some ways, obsolete in others.

Well, this is one of those cd's I bought simply because it has the name "Neville Marriner" attached to it, and I have no regrets about doing that. The cd is wonderful, Mr. Marriner has once again outdone himself, although the Dies Irae is a bit undertempo for my tastes. The Kyrie is a wonderful speed. The lacrimosa is just a bit under the tempo I prefer for it. I hope to soon have my completion of this requiem on cd soon, so keep your eyes open for it! --Joshua M. Abramson, Neo-Baroque Composer
  • Buyers Remorse...

I thought the tempo was a little weird like the directer was rushing the music in Confutatis. Bit of buyers remorse with this track… think that it could use another performance with more updated equipment.
  • Best Requiem Recording on iTunes

This is the best recording of Mozart's Requiem that I've found. And trust me, I've spent hours listening to the countless Requiem albums on iTunes trying to find the best one. Everything about this album is superb - the use of dynamics (especially in Confutatis), interpretation, tempo. Everything comes together in this album.
