Haha I'm a first chair trumpet player for my eighth grade band class. Classical music has been a huge part of my life and it underrated. Anyways my favorite used to be prelude no. 1 in c major. Not anymore! Great job putting the pieces together🐳

I love the album! One problem though, the two versions of Canon weren't Mozart's. They're both Pachelbel's. Otherwise, I don't find anything else to complain about!
  • Great Performance.

EVERYBODY has made a recording of this monumental string quartet by Mozart. Symphony orchestras, chamber orchestra, brass ensembles, piano solos, etc.; and as a tribute to Mozart, none have been able to destroy the beauty of the music. I loved THIS recording very much and considered it the benchmark until recently. It you want to hear this work as it was originally written, then listen to the recording by the Salzburger Streichquartett, The true beauty of this work is not in its power, but in the sheer simplicity of the harmony. This is the first time I remember hearing it played as a string quartet and it was an eye opener. Sometimes minimal is he best. If you have other favorite recordings of this work continue to love them, but give a listen to the Salzburger Streichquartett version!!!

I'm 13 and I play in my school orch. as a viola. This song is fun to play, and I wasn't a big Mozart fan until this album. I totally recommend it! And yeah, rock on mozart!

I am one of many who disliked the sixties sounds, especially some of the hometown "motown" sounds. This is about the Classical music now and I think they got it 100% spot on!! It's a true delight to hear the Viena Philharmonic, play the Blue Danube. It sound just like my grandmothers collection but no scratches on these! Thank you iTunes for doing a marvelous job. The Mozart collection is just as wonderful, and of course the Tchaikovsky (1812 overature) is second only to the Blue Danube (J.H. Strauss)
  • Great Playing - Could be better in terms of recording

I gave it 4 stars because im not a Huge fan of overly echoy recordings. If the music had a more pure sound, i would be all over this Album. The Academy is great Though.
