For all the haters of this song, John cage is a genius. He took this four minutes and 33 seconds of silence to show you that you don’t have to be a true composer or know how to play an instrument, he is telling you that you can make music even when you aren’t trying to. When John cage preformed this in front of a crown in 1958, he sat next to the piano on the stage and didn’t play a single note. The audience didn’t know what to think of it. They might have thought he forgot how to play the piece. But he just sat there for 4 minutes and 33 seconds. The audience didn’t realize that what he was doing was listening to the sound of talking, and anything else he could hear. His music was the sound of the world, to show you that the world is basically and instrument. He walked off of the stage after the time passed and didn’t come back on. The audience still didn’t know what was going on. If you want to hear this piece fully, go outside for 4 minutes and 33 seconds. You will experience the best piece of music in history.

My car's stereo is stupidly broken and won't play any audio from my phone if I connect it using USB unless I have at least *one* song loaded up on it. And it will play that song automatically once I do connect it. Since I don't use the built in music app at all, this song is a perfect way to work around this annoying situation! Thanks John Cage!
