Reviews

  • Very best old-school. Braggadocio, mic skills, party songs.

The fat boys were able to be self-deprecating, raunchy, and sound like they're having a lot of fun all the same time. Yet they don't ever have to swear or pretend to be something they're not. The fat references aren't overdone. Next level beat boxing, again, that isn't overdone. Fat Boys albums steadily improved until this third one, so get them all if you can. Their stuff is as good as Run DMC, better than LL. I am surprised at the explicit tag. The cataloguer must not have listened to the album that's all I can say. There's no swearing, no drugs, no guns. But you don't miss it! Even without nostalgia, I challenge a new listener not to smile during Double O Fat Boys!
  • Why the EXPLICIT tag?

None of these tracks have curse words. Just pure, unadulterated hip-hop. Human beat box part 3 is the standard for beat boxing

This album certainly isn't as super awesome as the preceding albums but thats not entirely a bad thing. The songs are silly once again with rhyming and rapping about food, women, sex, the amazing human beat box, and even has the trio temporarily become James Bond like agents (Double O Fat Boys). If you get this album don't expect it to be entirely different from the self titled LP or The Fat Boys are Back but you will not be super let down. In a way I feel that beatboxing is still pretty cool today and less artificial in sound then all those artists of this year overusing the auto-tune. Old school hip hop album of awesomeness. I implore you to check it out ^_^
