Great album! Love Mozart! Oh and "Hello" rap isn't "boring" it rhymes with "crap" and it ALL sounds the same! Let's make up some words and "sample" I mean RIP OFF, I dunno say the MASTERS of Middle Eastern and Mikrasian music and other classics from different genres of "world" music (although I hate that term) throw in a few "dope" beats and the sheep of America with WAY below room temperature IQs will buy the garbage. But have fun in your crap-rap world, you ignorant imbecile. Anyway, sorry about the rant, good album though. Love from Tulsa

This disc has got it all going on. I listen to it when I ski and it's amazing. I never heard of the Scott and Lara or the Knights but they are cool and I can't wait for their next disc.
Exceptional

This exceptional recording brings new energy and vigor to some of Mozart's most compelling work. The St. Johns are superb and one feels their remarkable musical bond, it is as if they are one player. Eric Jacobsen and the Knights are an exciting partner and deliver a beautiful and evocative performance.
Mannered Mozart

Instead of giving some attention to an appropriate style for Mozart, she pours a disgusting sauce over everything she plays. Ms St. Johns ends up knocking the spotlight off the composer while drawing unflattering attention to herself.

I heard this superb recording on WQXR along with an interview featuring Lara St. John. I am very happy with my purchase and the performances delivered by the St. John's, Eric Jacobsen and the Knights are inspiring. I recommend this album.

The album is beautiful. This music is so accessible and truly inspiring. I have never heard the St. John's before and was delighted by this purchase.
Sibling rivalries sometimes pay off

My sister and I both took violin lessons as kids, but somehow when we were coaxed to perform together it never sounded as good as this. The St. Johns do brilliant work together on the Sinfonia Concertante, and the cross-tuning used on the viola lends a distinctive resonance to the part that I do not always hear in this piece.
The whole album sounds terrific, delivering a full, well-balanced sound that captures all the nuances that Mozart intended. If you need any reminding of why Mozart is so central a figure to Western culture, this album should do the trick.

St. John continues to deliver on her potential and promise. This latest album highlights her towering virtuosity and impressive emotional range. Having seen her live in concert both in New York at Carnegie Hall and in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, I can simply say that she a phenomenal talent, a unique personality, a true star. Five stars.
Lara and John sound great

The soloists sound really good. I heard some intonation issues with the Orchestra though.
