  • Call him Mr. Unoriginal

This guy is a Mumford & Sons wanna be who in the process ripped off an awesome song by Carbon Leaf. Literally suffering through him right now cuz he's opening for a band I actually like. Don't buy anything by Josh Ritter. And if you JUST have to: only buy one song...they all sound alike anyway.
  • Incredible.

This might be the best album of the last ten years, any genre. Lyrically, none come even close. This is just outstanding. Josh Ritter is a name you tell your friends about.

I really enjoy Josh Ritter's music and this album is no exception. It seems like he just continues to improve as a musician and entertainer. I also downloaded Bringing Home the Darlings.

I've followed Josh for years and continue to be blown away by his lyrical mastery that seems to hit you in parts of your heart you don't ever remember feeling before. What can you say about a guy who consistently pumps out 5 star albums.

Josh Ritter is superb and he stands out and outshines all the rest. Anyone who doesn't get it is missing so very much! He couldn't compose a bad lyric if he tried. Saw him live. Wouldn't have been anywhere else! Truly.

I honestly am not a fan of the "fad" music I love the classic and honesty of this music. It has real and an honest voice. It shows what music was before we lost it to obnoxious and talentless computer altered voices. I am an honest teenager, that thankfully did not fall for the horrible music that my friends have. I'm just glad to see that my style of music has not been exterminated from the industry. I highly recommend it.
  • Astounding...

This album is impeccable in every way - one of those rare pieces of art that is so good it makes you hurt. It is hauntingly beautiful from start to finish. "The Curse" in-and-of itself is worth the price of the entire album... and then some. The lyrical genius is so refreshing. A must-have if you appreciate the lost art of true songwriting. Amazingggg....
  • One of the best albums I

I literally cannot stop listening to this record. And I've tried. Every single song is strong, there are only 3 that I don't *love,* and it only gets more and more beautiful with repeated listening.
