  • Beautiful song selection

    By Serry01
This is a beautiful song selection that never fails to center and relax me. The one fault that I can find with it is that the songs are not well labeled for composers or pieces. For example, I would not be able to tell that Etude in E Major was Chopin without already being familiar with the piece. It only gives the performers info. A bit vexing when trying to put a name to a piece that I don't know.

You might want to listen to what The Universe is telling you with the title of this CD. If you do, you're very close to the path of Enlightenment.

  • Not for Classical Music Listeners

    By mr.sundquist
If you're looking to add some variety to your itunes, this album may be an okay addition. If you enjoy listening to lots of classical music, this album will disappoint. Several of the songs are not performed in their original arrangements. Many of them are played quite a bit faster than you would expect - especially for an album tagged as "relaxing!" I think the complier looked for the shortest recordings available for each song in order to fit more music onto the album. The lack of composer names in the individual song names is quite annoying, as it would be nice to learn more about unfamiliar songs.
  • They Are Real Performances, For One Thing....

    By GaryFromOR
I looked around for a classical music compilation consisting of mostly pieces that could serve as a background for writing, thinking, reading, lounging, etc. The vast majority of these compilations consist of light classical pieces with familiar names, but done in the style of new age or massage background music--lots of it synthesized with birds and bubbling water in the background. Sheesh. I wasn't looking for virtuosity and great performances. I enjoy those very much and have been gathering a nice classical music collection. But for this purpose, I just wanted honest, credible performances put together by album producer/curator with relaxation in mind. Given this modest goal, I think this collection is excellent. If your intent is to listen and focus on the music, this is probably not for you. If you want a lovely soundscape for other activities, this works nicely.
  • Astounding

I bought Canon in D and Fur Elise. One to make me fall asleep and the other to calmly wake me up. I love it!
