Reviews

  • It's good, except for 1 song...

I like this album, though I only bought 1 song from it and that was God and guns. Now, it's a great song. The quality is good, the music is good, the beginning lyrics are good but I've come to not like it as much simply because they are saying "we might as well give up and run if they take our God and guns." We ain't supposed to give up and run, we need to stand and fight back!!

Still a great band they still rock 100% one of my favorite bands but they don't sound as good as they did in the 70s RIP Ronny Van Zant :(

Of course it ain't the old Skynyrd they are changing with the times! But for me Skynyrd is Skynyrd. Only people who panzie little girls who obsess over Justin Bieber don't know what they are talkin bout and give it one star. Their freakin morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I gotta tell you that I don't get anyone saying that this isn't "real Skynyrd"... Perhaps it doesnt sound IDENTICAL to the original band, but that's what makes it great. Just like the title says, and everything it implies, Skynyrd was founded on a few basic beliefs: God, guns, American pride, and Southern pride... And this album thouroughly continues that tradition. That's what makes it Skynyrd, and that's what makes it awesome.
  • A timely find in these trying times.

These are the times that try men's souls. Liberty is under assault. Tyranny is in ascension. Thank you God, for letting me find my way to my roots and God & Guns by Lynyrd Skynyrd. "We might as well give up and run if we let 'em take our God & Guns."
  • God and Guns there best yet

    By judge sound not looks
Hope the new cd is as good as this one I think this one is the best the group has ever done but they never dissapoint. Good old southern rock at its finest. If you like this group check out the Tyler McCumber band's Catch Me ( simply the best southern rock cd in years )
  • Long live skynyrd!!

This album is awesome! People want to complain, go listen to your lady gagas. This is great music and it's great to the fans and skynyrd that they keep it alive so we can listen to it. Still unbroken!!!
  • Terrible

This is terrible and shouldn't be an LS album. Nothing after "street" should be. The original Skynyrd had complex working class politics, not right wing guns and red white and blue cookie cutter country crap. Boo to people using Ronnie and Allen's band name.
  • Skynyrd!!

Shut up, stop saying that this isn't "the old Skynrd" it is all Lynyrd Skynyrd. Little Brother Johnny has been doing this much longer now than Big Brother Ronnie did, and in this age of artificial music this is nice to hear.
