Wow. This is album is just like the rest of the albums that Mr. Saadiq has released. His music is true to the soul. I would see him on tour anywhere in the US or Canada. This is good music that one could sit back and groove to. I love his music because he never degrades women or talk of killing another person. This is real music, not like the noise that they play on the airwaves nowadays. Congrats Mr. Saadiq on another well put together CD. You definitely deserve to receive all accolades for your music. God bless!

I can't believe Oh Girl isn't the highest rated song this album. I think people have forgotten what good music is supposed to sound like.
  • Love it!

It has that "throwback" sound but it's modern enough to keep it fresh. Real Music that will stick around! No autotune crap!

I just bought this album after buying his new one-"Stone Rollin". I'm thrilled that this guy can sound like Marvin & Smokey with a touch of Prince-yet sound fresh and new (How does he do it!) Tracks 1-4 are GREAT! Track 5-with Joss Stone is very nice as is the touch of Spanish on #7. Track 9-"Oh Girl" shows just how much soul this man has. The Jay-Z version is poison though and I deleted it from the playlist. Tracks 8, 10, 12 & 14 are very nice and rhythmic but track 11 is a standout-not because of Mr. Wonders harmonica playing but for the vocals of CJ-who is this guy? A truly fantastic album, sorry it took me so long to find it out.
